Guided Hike at East River Preserve

APRIL 9 @ 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Join GLCT board member Janet Ainsworth (203-530-7826), GLCT board member Claudia Bartlett, and Appalachian Mountain Club hike leader Mary Anne Hardy for this very interesting segment of the New England National Scenic Trail (NET). It runs between the East River Preserve at the Sullivan Drive trailhead and a parking pullout on Clapboard Hill Road. The route is mostly flat and features brooks, glacial erratics, the remains of an old mill and various views of the East River. The 583-acre preserve was purchased by the town in 2009, the same year that the NET was designated as a national scenic trail. No dogs please.
